CONFIRMED for 2011
PRESS RELEASE July, 2011
We’re estimating, in close to eight months, Roger Stanton Baum will present a new novel sized work, potentially titled, “Oz Odyssey III .” Yes, a full size novel, true to the Oz genre. It is a modern and exciting adventure. Without giving the story away; it has the pace and excitement of today’s children’s adventure stories within the parameters of Oz that we all love. A wholesome adventure that takes some of the Oz characters into places they have never been before. It steps in and out of the Oz classics.
We hope you will find this new novel refreshing and that it allows Oz fans to spread their wings through the World of Oz once again, and beyond.
We respectfully remind our friends about the wonderful animated musical, “Dorothy of Oz,” (www.dorothyofoz.com) produced by Summertime Entertainment, based on Roger’s book. It is, “on target for a 2012 release!!”* Starring Dan Aykroyd, Jim Belushi, Hugh Dancy, and Kelsey Grammer, Megan Hilty, Lea Michelle, Oliver Platt, Martin Short, and Patrick Stewart.
Our hats off to Ryan Carroll, Producer, Roland Carroll, Producer, and Bonne Radford, Producer along with Daniel St. Pierre, Director, Bryan Adams, (The multiple Grammy-Award winner who recently received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, March 21, 2011). Neil Kaufman, Executive Producer, and Greg Centineo, Executive Producer, all of whom whose dreams and imagination are bringing this movie to life along with many, many others.

BIO
Roger S. Baum is the eldest living great-grandson of the man who started it all, L. Frank Baum. “The Wizard of Oz” series of books were created by the hard-working family man in Chicago more than 100 years ago. His four sons and scores of neighborhood children so loved his story telling that his wife,
Maude, thought it would be a good idea for him to write down his ‘made up’ stories and she was right! Since “The Wizard of Oz” was published in 1900, it, and every Oz book that followed, have been huge successes and loved by children of all ages!
Roger has taken pen in hand, also gently urged to do so by his wife, Charlene, and continued the trip over the rainbow with a series of successful children’s books about the Land of Oz. Both Roger and Charlene will be participating in the 2010 Chesterton Wizard of Oz Festival and look forward to sharing the love of Oz through both the literary works of great-grandfather and great-grandson.
For more information regarding the books that Roger writes and Dorothy of Oz, a brand new feature length animated film based on the world’s most popular fairy tale, "The Wonderful Wizard of OZ."
