This was my first festival. I was truly amazed at the organization - something for everyone. Kudos to the festival organizers/workers. My future daughter in law won the Crazy Hat contest! We will be back next year. Thanks to everyone !

Performing scenes from this script will be a blast!

I need actors to help me perform scenes from my Wizard of Oz script adaptation that I wrote. You don't need to be professionals, just energetic and expressive. I need all ages! I will be bringing simple costumes you can wear over your clothes.

I'M DEBBIE AND MY DAUGHTER MADISON DRIVE UP FROM OHIO EVERY YEAR TO SEE THE WIZARD OF OZ FEST,WE HAVE SUCH A GREAT TIME SEEING ALL THE COSTUMES AND LOOKING AT ALL THE WIZARD OF OZ STUFF. THE BEST PART IS BRUNCH WITH THE MUCHKINS,WE LOVE SEEING ALL THE MUCHKINS AND GETTING AUTOGRAPHS. WE WILL MISS THE LOLLIPOP GUY JERRY MAREN, HE WAS OUR FAVORITE. HOPE TO MAKE IT OUT THIS YEAR.

I have been attending the Wizard of Oz Festival every year starting in 1994. The entire festival is fantastic for many reasons. It's wonderful to be around so many other people who have a common interest -- Oz. Although I'm not an official Oz character, I sometimes dress as the Wizard of Oz and much enjoy that. At one of the festivals, I had the great pleasure of meeting my friend, Taylor, (now the official flying monkey of the festival) when she was four years old and have been friends ever since. Before her years as the flying monkey, I've seen her win many various Oz character look-a-like contests. This young lady is going places. I highly recommend this festival for any Oz fan. It's wholesome, family fun.

My name is Emily! My daughter, Riley, and I went to the 2010 OZ festival and it was our first.. We have been fans all our lives! I found out in high school that I have the same birthday as Judy Garland. For those of you that don't know its June 10th!!! We have collections and toys of the Wizard of Oz and just love it! I even have a tattoo of the OZ as well! We knew the festival was going to be fun but we just didn't know how much fun. We drove from Wisconsin and got there right before the parade. At the end of the parade there were the munchkins in golf carts. I would have loved to see my face, as tears started falling down my face when I saw them. We also loved all the activites and vendors at the festival. This year I would like to plan better so we can see more! After coming home with tons of stories and pictures many friends and relatives (not as crazy about the moive as me) toto-lly want to go to this festival now! I highly recommend it! I also want to thank all the people and artists for helping put on the show. I would love to help but I live far away. If anyone reading this could think of anything I could do to help from way over in wisconsin, let me know! :) Can't wait to see you all this September! Thanks Again Emily

P.S. I just read the posting from the flying monkey (I think right before my posting) You are an OZ some flying monkey! We loved seeing you all in charter in person at the brunch. We have pictures of all you! Great Job!

Hi My name is Teresa Lorann Phillips. I'm from Dawson Springs, Kentucky. I'm biggest fan of "The Wizard of Oz" movie. I do collect "The Wizard of Oz" stuff at home. So this year I might be able to go "The Wizard of Oz" Festival this year.

I have been the flying monkey at the festival for about 4 years I think, going on 5, and I LOVE IT. Though I have been coming to the festival since I was 3, and I am 13 now. In the history tab, the first picture is a picturer of the hat contest, and I am in it. The small one on the right.(:
For anyone who has never came to the festival, you will havea great time. Though it is a bit crowded, the experience is great.
I am also SOSOSO glad that the festival is once again in Chesterton. Valpo was great, but Chesterton is home for us.
Can't wait for the festival this year!

I'm 59 and have been a fan ALL my life. I've brought my grandchildren to the festival the last few years and they love to dress in costume. A note to all of you who work on the planning committee...THANK-YOU so much for your hard work and dedication. It is so appreciated by those of us who are able to attend. We drive there from Aurora, Il and every year we tell more and more people what an OZ-SOME time we always have!!!

my children and i have attended several festivals years ago....they are all in their twenties now and we are all excited to go back and 'revisit' the fun time we had and celebrate the 30th anniversary :) (from Petersburg, MI)
